All my kids got up the other morning and carried their blankets to the family room. Since it's a new thing for even the baby to be attached to hers, I took a picture of them all sitting together with their blankies on the couch.
My mom and I regularly go to Chick-fil-A before going to the grocery store together. This past Thursday, I decided I wasn't really up for going to Walmart, but still wanted to go to Costco. So I picked her up and we went to Chick-fil-A first to eat some breakfast. We had a little time to kill before Costco opened, so we let the kids play in the playground. Things were going fine and all was normal, until my baby came over to the window and smashed her face against it. She then decided it tasted delicious and ran her tongue all over it as well. I about wet my pants laughing so hard! The look on her face and the tongue action were just too much! Thankfully I got a couple pictures! They don't quite do it justice, but almost. And yes, that glass is quite dirty looking. Our first thought was gross, but then she kept on and it was SO funny....I couldn't help but take a few pictures!!
The other night after my older two were *supposed* to be in bed, I heard the ice cream truck driving in the neighborhood. It actually stopped at our neighbor's house and they got something, while I was staring and thinking how good a popsicle sounded. So I grabbed the little cash I had and ran out there to the truck before it left. I got a Lick-A-Color popsicle (which are SO good!!) and turned around to see my son standing outside on the porch - with a big grin on his face. We went inside and got the other two kiddos and all shared the one popsicle. It was funny. The baby certainly enjoyed her first one!!
My son's birthday was a few days ago and we celebrated (sort of) this past Saturday. We went to my parents house and had pizza and he got to open his presents. Since my daughter's birthday is next month and she doesn't quite understand yet why he was going to get some new toys and she wasn't....we decided to let her open her birthday present early. My son spent as long as possible - until we forced him to go to bed - playing with his new legos! He also was wearing his new hat from Mamaw and Papaw! My daughter went to bed with her new toys in her arms, a talking Jesse and Bullseye from Toy Story 2 (she already had the Woody doll).
I finally finished up my July blocks (minus the one that I never received the fabric for). Three blocks for Bee Improvisational: Two blocks for the Vintage Sheet Quilting Bee:
A couple weeks before my son's fourth birthday, my husband decided that he wanted to get him a bat and a ball. (Meaning a REAL little league bat and ball.) Here are a couple pictures of the two of them outside playing for the first time with it. I think my husband had more fun than my son did!
We're the Presley family.
Jon and I met and got married in 2004. The circumstances behind all that were not the best, but God has truly turned our many mistakes into good! Only by His grace and mercy are we where we are today.
We have four wonderfully crazy kids that are between four and eight years old.
Jon is an HVAC technician and I stay at home to attempt to teach and train our kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It's a challenging job, and one I fail at constantly. But God does and will continue to sustain and uphold me and give me grace to do this amazing task he's called me to do.
